Subaru of America has announced they will be returning to the Philadelphia Flower Show as the sole sponsor for the event. The show is produced by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) and returns February 29th running through March 8th. The Philadelphia Flower Show is the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event. This year’s theme is “Riviera Holiday” and focuses on Mediterranean gardens.

“We are proud to continue our sponsorship of the Philadelphia Flower Show for the nineteenth consecutive year,” said Thomas J. Doll, President and Chief Executive Officer at Subaru of America, Inc. “At Subaru, we are deeply committed to serving our local community, as well as the environment through our Subaru Loves the Earth initiative. In conjunction with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, we continue to educate attendees about preservation and how they can be more planet-friendly.”

Subaru aims to educate this year’s attendees on sustainable gardening and landfill-free designs. The all-new Subaru Outback will be featured at the event in addition to a mix of Mediterranean-inspired elements. Those attending the event will learn about reclaimed cedar slat walls, terracotta roofing, drought tolerant plants, and recirculating fountains made from recycled tiles.

The main Subaru Zero-Landfill exhibit will include ‘Potting Parties” where Subaru hosts several daily gardening workshops. Horticulture designer, Tu Bloom, will host an event where attendees can design their own vibrant container displays at the semi-private ‘Subaru Outback’ garden exhibit. Bloom will also teach attendees about sustainable growing practices along with fun recycling ideas for their personal gardens.

Subaru will also sponsor the Concourse Exhibit: Subaru Reclamation Station and Fido Friday. The Concourse Exhibit will display the 2020 Subaru Forester and attendees will learn how to repurpose household trash. Subaru will also educate event-goers on the year-round Subaru Loves the Earth initiative. Fido Friday will be held on March 6th and welcome attendees to bring their dogs to enjoy the show. As part of Subaru Loves Pets initiative, there will also be on-site pet adoptions and other pet-friendly activities.
