Subaru Takes Major Steps in Environmental Work

Environmental protection is becoming more and more important, both on an individual and at the corporate level. Subaru of America Inc. knows this and has made increasingly impactful inroads towards having a positive relationship with the environment. This past September, Subaru of America Inc. worked across major national parks and locations to clean up tens of thousands of pounds of trash, waste materials, and invasive species.

“At Subaru, we feel it is our duty to give back and protect the Earth, and these milestones we’ve reached with TerraCycle, along with national and local partners, reflect our ongoing commitment to care for our planet,” said Thomas J. Doll, President and CEO of Subaru of America, Inc. “We are continually humbled by the efforts our retailers, customers and partners make to further our mission and help preserve the majesty and beauty of our environment.”

Through the environmentally focused initiative, Subaru Loves the Earth, Subaru has consistently been improving its own practices for a positive change as well as working to clean up our treasured areas. Through the concentrated efforts of various Ambassador groups, places like Candlestick Point State Recreation Area, Eledora Mountain Resort, and Yosemite National Park were treated to major cleanups. With over 25,000 pounds of materials collected from these locations, Subaru hopes to make serious headway for environmentally conscious initiatives. Subaru of America Inc. looks to be a positive example of what can be done.
